SSD5.5 ImageThe SSD 5.5 of Steven Slate is a fantastic free drum plugin which is a must have in your set of plugins. In this video we explain how to download and install it, and show you how it works and sounds.

This is really a fantastic drum kit and it is really free. But to get this kit working you have to take many difficult steps, but it is really worth it. 

  • Follow the link on our website, to go to the SSD 5.5 free page.
  • First you have to fill in your email address and your name on that page. 
  • Next you will see a page that tells you that you have to check your email inbox.
  • So check your email and you will find this email where you have to click on the blue button to get SSD free.
  • You will be redirected to a page where you have to fill in your email, two times, and your first and last name.
  • The next page will tell you that you will receive another email with login credentials.
  • Then you have to log in on the website and install the Slate Audio Center for Windows or Mac.
  • So just click on the download and install the Slate Audio Center
  • On the same page you can also check out the video on how to install the plugin.
  • Next you start the program and fill in your email and password again.
  • Then, finally, you get the chance to install the software, or update it, when you already used the previous version, SSD 5, like we did.
  • So select all the dots at the left bottom and install.
  • The installation will take some time because, in total there will be more than 2 gigabyte to be downloaded and installed.
  • When the installation is finished, you can Exit the app.
  • Now, you can start your DAW and drag the SSD 5.5 to one of your tracks.
